sweet tooth ceramic sculptural installation

Sweet Tooth is a ceramic sculptural exhibition which plays with the idea of cake, icing, edibility and cultural significance, consumption, abundance and delight. My oven is a kiln, I mix, I bake and I celebrate, my ingredients and temperatures differ, nevertheless I aim for the same crunch. I use mud and hay baked to 1200°c to create, larger than life, the love and labours of all our cooks.

Sweet Tooth pays homage to those committed craftspeople whom help mark and celebrate the occasions of importance in our lives. The beauty of fine cake decoration defies its edibility yet eaten it always is. Sweet Tooth is cake decoration literally made concrete. Sweet Tooth is food for the eye and consideration for the soul.
